80th Anniversary Vicarage Garden Party Success

Published

The weekend of 5th and 6th July saw St Thomas' Hanwell celebrate 80 years, and our patron saint.

Saturday 5th included the usual Garden Party, as well as a Model railway display in the Hall and a Church History exhibition (still running now) in the Church. This was followed by a BBQ for those who had not had enough Cream Teas, Caribbean Food and other goodies in the afternoon. After the BBQ, the Vicarage Garden became the Vicarage Odeon as we watched Babette's Feast whislt being served popcorn and coffee.

Sunday 6th we celebrated our Patronal Festival and were hugely fortunate in having Rev'd Dr. Alison Milbank with us preaching on what we can learn from the example of St Thomas' exploartion of faith. After Solemn Mass clebrated with Champagne in the Vicarage Gardens.

The whole weekend was a enormous success and tremendous fun. There are lots more pictures of the weekend in the galleries part of this website.
