Our Vision is to be a place of welcome to all, sharing the joy of our Christian faith, and building on over 80 years of service within our community using our gifts for the benefit of all people.

Over the past few months the PCC have been exploring how we can produce a Mission Action Plan which will incorporate the power and hope of  the Diocesan Captial Vision 2020 headings of 'Confident, Compassionate and Creative'.

In September the PCC had an Away Day to identify our Mission priorities for the next 3 years. These were:

  1. Form a visitor Welcome Team
  2. Develop the connections between church and the Tots group.
  3. Have a young person's consultation.
  4. Form an Advertising/Communication Committee
  5. Establish a pastoral Care and visiting team
  6. Church Hall development group

However, as well as these foci, the wider life of St Thomas' continues. In addition to the public face of St Thomas's, our regular services, many members of our congregation are actively involved in linking their faith with service to the local community ( for example in involvement with youth groups, in support of local and national charities and in school governance).

This work is, of course, largely unseen, but without it our community would be a much poorer place.

With His help and guidance we shall continue and grow our presence.

Every year we divert 10% of our stewardship income to mission funds and hold fund-raising events such as our popular Spring Fair. These funds enable us to support charities locally (eg. Ealing Street Pastors, Hanwell Homeless Concern), nationally (eg. St Mungos, A Rocha) and overseas (USPG, Mother's Union) and to work with our link parishes of Chemnitz-Harthau (Germany), St. Barnabas, Nkoranza (Ghana) and Christ the King, Hillsborough, Carriacou (West Indies).
