About St Thomas’ Hanwell
Fr. Robert Family Eucharist Talk
Our vision is to be a place of welcome to all, sharing the joy of our Christian faith, and building on over 80 years of service within our community using our gifts for the benefit of all people.
'Before the Church teaches, it lives; and before it teaches about society it lives as a society' E. L. Mascall in Corpus Christi
St Thomas the Apostle Hanwell is part of of the Diocese of London, and has a thriving congregation with a wide range of ages from children, through families young and old, to those who remember the 'new'.
St Thomas opened in 1934. All are welcome and, we hope, made to feel part of the church family as we join together in praising His name.
Our life together and mission flows from, and within, our experience of the Eucharist. In the Eucharist we celebrate our unity and diversity. There we encounter the living God in bread and wine, the bible and each other being fed by Him so that we can feed each other in the places in which we live and work.
We have a thriving Junior Church (Sunday School) in classes from ages 5-12, strong Christian links with our Youth Organisations, and vibrant choral tradition that celebrates the rich musical tradition of the historic Church of which the Church of England is a part.
